The Deer Lodge dynamos on stroll patrol

The Deer Lodge stroll patrol is striding for strength, moving for meaning, stepping for support, and dashing for dignity.

This June, the MND Mayhem will be participating in the Walk to End ALS. United by a shared commitment, we strive to support our clients, their families and the ALS community to provide hope, compassionate care, and a  future free from motor neuron disease. That’s why we're joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope.

What we do:

  • We strive to provide compassionate and collaborative care with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for those affectted by ALS, preserving independence, and maintaining dignity throughout a person's journey with motor neuron disease.

What your support will help do:

  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Manitoba as well as necessary medical equipment like wheelchairs, liftchairs, mobility aids and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.
  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.

Participating in the Walk to End ALS is more than a fundraising endeavour for us; it's a testament to our dedication and a tribute to the resilience of our clients. Every step we will take symbolizes hope, solidarity, and the relentless pursuit of a cure.

Join us in this vital cause. Please consider donating not to our page, but to those of our clients as we work towards a world free of ALS/MND. Together, we can make strides toward a world without ALS.
