Help me create a world free of ALS
Help me create a world free of ALS
This summer, our family will once again be participating in the Walk to End ALS Manitoba.
ALS has touched our family for decades. We were first introduced to this devastating disease when my aunt was diagnosed in the 1990s. Today, we continue to walk in her memory and in honor of my dad, who has been living with ALS for more than a decade.
Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS/MND. That's why we're joining thousands of others as part of a passionate and determined community walking in celebration of hope and toward a world free of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
This cause is deeply personal to us. We have seen firsthand the challenges that come with an ALS diagnosis, but we've also witnessed the strength, resilience, and support that can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families navigating this disease.
Your support will help create a better day to day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community based support throughout Manitoba, as well as essential medical equipment such as wheelchairs, lift chairs, mobility aids, and other items that increase safety and independence in the home.
Your donation will also help further scientific progress through the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising, peer-reviewed ALS research. More progress has been made in ALS research over the last five years than in the previous century, and we need to continue building on that momentum.
We walk to remember loved ones we've lost. We walk to support those currently living with ALS. We walk with hope for a future where no family has to hear this diagnosis.
Please consider supporting our team by making a donation or sharing our fundraising page. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring us one step closer to a world free of ALS/MND.
For our aunt. For Dad. For every family affected by ALS.
Your support is needed now more than ever. Together, we are stronger.
