Dear Friends,

Once again, we are preparing for that special date, June 22nd when we will again join with many other families and friends for the ANNUAL WALK to End ALS to be held in Springbank Gardens, 285 Wonderland Rd. S. London Ontario. 

ALS has taken an unbelievable toll on our wonderful MacPherson family.   We have lost sisters Margaret, Mary and Dorothy, brother Arthur and two cousins to this insidious disease and it has been very devastating. However, we must not lose sight of "HOPE". Scientists including Dr. Shoesmith in London along with many other scientists across the country and the world, are making great inroads and progress toward finding treatments and ultimately a cure for ALS. Thousands of people work extremely hard each year to raise funds to eradicate this disease.  A cure must be found!

We are very proud of our "MacPhersons In Motion Team" made up of family and friends. By getting our team in "motion" and sending out letters/emails and receiving online donations from many wonderful people, our team has been able to raise $233,809.00 for the London Walk during the past 23 years. We are very grateful for the support of all donors who have contributed to the success of our team during these years. 

ALS can strike anyone, and at least 2 to 3 persons die from ALS every day in Canada. It is only through raising increased funds for patient services and expensive equipment so badly needed, and more funds for research, that hopefully in the not-too-distant future, a cure will be found for this terrible disease.
