A Walk To Remember Barb
This summer we will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS in London, ON in loving memory of Barb Farlow; a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and registered nurse, whose courage and strength continue to inspire us all. Barb's journey with ALS was a testament to her resilience and unwavering spirit. Barb's passion for life extended to her love of gardening and the simple joy of outdoor walks, reflecting her appreciation for the beauty of nature and the importance of treasuring every moment.
As we come together to honour Barb's memory in the ALS walk, we walk not only for her but for all those affected by this relentless disease. Barb's legacy lives on through our commitment to raise awareness and support for ALS research, ensuring that one day, no family will have to endure the pain of this devastating illness. The ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS. Please consider supporting our team and donating towards this important cause.
Your support will help to:
- Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Ontario – like home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.
- Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
Join us as we walk in remembrance of Barb, united in our determination to make a difference and bring hope to those battling ALS. Together, we stride forward with strength and purpose, honoring Barb's legacy and embracing the promise of a future free from ALS. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
