June 2024 the Jogging Joe will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk. As many of you are aware, Joe was diagnosed with ALS a year ago. We have been blessed to have received support from the ALS community in navigating this illness and thought it was only fitting to give back to an organization that gave us so much. For those of you who don't know, the ALS community has been able to  support us by providing the Walking Pros with tools such as a walker, wheelchair and ramp to support Joe and ensure his safety in his day to day life. ALS has required both Joe and the Pros to make changes to their lifestyle which was made possible with th help from the ALS community. Your support and donations towards our team and this important cause allow families like ours dealing with ALS to find the help they need in navigating this devistating illness.

What happens to your donation?

The money you donate will allow the ALS  society to continue to provide community-based support throughout Ontario such as patient and caregiver support groups, medical equipment, home visits, etc.

We are also told that the proceeds will help fund scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS.
