Help our team create a world free of ALS
Help our team create a world free of ALS
Hi Friends,
Five years ago, our dad lost his battle with ALS. On the 5th anniversary of his passing, we are asking for donations to the ALS Society of Canada and to join us at the annual Walk to End ALS.
The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by ALS through support, advocacy, and research. This mission is very important to us, and we hope you'll consider contributing to the celebration with us.
The ALS Society of Canada works with the ALS community to provide support and advocacy and invest in research for a future without ALS. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donors to fulfill our mission. Your generous donation will help people living with ALS in Ontario access community-based support, contribute to the best ALS research in Canada, and enable federal and Ontario ALS advocacy initiatives to drive program and system change.
Your support will help:
- Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Ontario, such as home visits and support groups and necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, and stairlifts, at no cost to those who need them.
- Further scientific progress can be achieved by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. This program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research in Canada, providing peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the most significant potential to advance the field. More progress has been made in ALS research in the last five years than in the previous century. We need to keep building on this momentum.
Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
ALS forever changed our lives, but ALS Canada helped make it a bit easier. By donating, we can continue to provide support and resources, hopefully assisting another family like ours. Thank you, and we hope to see you at the walk.
