Hello Friends and Community Members,

My name is Austin Cranney, and I'm your local Realtor.

I work for Jenna & Co Group Realty, and together we are participating in the Ottawa Walk to End ALS on June 1, 2024. Our goal is to raise $3,000 to support ALS Canada in their research and support services for families affected by ALS.

ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It gradually diminishes a person's ability to move, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe.

Unfortunately, this disease has deeply touched my life not once, but twice.

My father is currently battling ALS, fighting with courage and dignity every day. The journey has been incredibly challenging for him and our family, but his resilience continues to inspire everyone around him.

My fiancée's father also battled this relentless disease—this is actually how I met my fiancée. Before her father passed away, I had the honor of asking for his blessing to marry his daughter. This is a moment I will cherish forever.

These personal experiences with ALS have fueled my commitment to make a difference. By participating in the Ottawa Walk to End ALS, I want to contribute to the fight against this disease and support others going through similar struggles.
