Help me create a world free of ALS

Tejinder Toor, born July 19th, 1968, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at the age of 56, after his gruelling nine-month battle with ALS. He was a loving father to his three sons, Armaan, Jyot and Ratan and a devoted husband to his wife, Tejpreet. He was also a loving “Chacha” (Uncle) to his three nieces, Gurbir, Balmeet, Harleen, Devin and Ravinder, and chacha nana (grandpa) to Neil. Besides his close friends, he will also be missed by his brothers, Sukhwinder and Harry, his sister-in-law, Ripple, and all his extended family.

In his last moments, Tejinder reminded his closest friends and family of the importance of cherishing the love we have for each other and to enjoy life to the fullest.  His light touched the lives of so many, and his absence will be deeply felt. Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, kindness, and unwavering spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him. So long as our memory of him exists, he will never be truly gone.

His selflessness was also reflected in him donateing his body to ALS research.

This spring, I will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families like my own affected by ALS. That’s why we're joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope and a world free of ALS. Please consider supporting my team and donating towards this important cause. My uncle was taken too soon, and with more research and causes like this we can lead to the cure to save someone else's uncle.

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario – this includes home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts, and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.

Join my team in making a difference. Please consider donating to my fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.

United, we are stronger together!

Love you and miss you chacha.
