I was diagnosed with ALS two years ago.  When I was first diagnosed, there was a whirlwind of adjustments to make and so much that I and my family needed to learn.  The ALS Society was a great support during this difficult time and has continued to be a steady source of support and guidance as my journey with ALS has progressed.

The ALS society has provided me with tangible support in the form of ramps, walkers, and all manner of mobility/assistive devices to keep me on my feet (both figuratively and literally).  They have provided guidance and assistance in navigating a whole new world filled with various forms, specialists, advice – so much that was new to me and my family.  Their steadfast support helped all of us navigate and survive the early days of my diagnosis, and their continued assistance is a great comfort and a very much needed support.

I am so very grateful for the ALS Society; without their support and assistance it would have been an insurmountable struggle to find and understand everything that I needed.  I strongly urge all of you to donate to the Walk to End ALS and support this dedicated group of people so they can continue to provide not only support but hope to people diagnosed with ALS.
