This summer, we will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to bring hope and meaningful help to families affected by this disease. Our team is walking not only to support the broader ALS community, but also in honour of Dave Janssen, whose strength, resilience, and spirit continue to inspire us. Dave has spent so many years giving back to others—supporting friends, colleagues, and his community with kindness, generosity, and a willingness to help whenever needed. This walk is one way we can give back to him, standing beside Dave and his family just as he has stood beside so many of us.

Your support will help to:

• Advance scientific progress through the ALS Canada Research Program, the only national dedicated source of ALS research funding in Canada. This program invests in promising, peer‑reviewed research with the greatest potential to move the field forward. There has been more progress in ALS research in the last five years than in the previous century, and continued investment is essential to maintain this momentum.

• Improve the day‑to‑day lives of people and families living with ALS by supporting community‑based services across Ontario. These services include home visits, support groups, virtual programming, and vital information resources that help improve quality of life for those affected.
