Help me create a world free of ALS

As a few of you know already, my mother was diagnosed with ALS late last fall, October 2025.   My Aunt Karen had also been diagnosed and lost her battle to the disease a few years ago.  During the time with my mother, my sister and I making the drive to her home in Coldwater, ON for several weeks, I was experiencing some issues of my own (thinking it is old age, menopause, regular women issues...) that had my doctor a bit confused, only to find out, after some blood work, xrays and MRI in December 2025, that I myself have the disease.  It is a rare jpathogentic gene, TARDBP 43 and even more rare as it is a mutated one.  We knew it runs in the family but had always believed it would skip generations.  My grandfather and further back.  I have an enormous medical network with University Hospital, my doctor, OHaH which has been a bit overwhelming but grateful for it.  After a lot of stubborness on our mother's behalf, my sister and I have successfully gotten our mother to move closer to us - located at a home here in London which has made the stress on all of us a lot lighter.  We've always known that there was a good chance that it would hit us, but not at this level.  We have kept it to ourselves for awhile and reaching out to close family and friends.  All have been very supportive and so very, very much appreciated to have in our lives.  So moving forward, both my mother and I are dealing with this, her much more advanced.  I am walking for myself, my mother, in honor of my Aunt Karen and others that this has touched lives.  If you can help with finding a cure, any donation would be very grateful.  Amy, Trevor, Kathryn, Rebecca Andy, Samantha, Austin, Holly, Braeden and Family and Friends xo
