Help me create a world free of ALS

In honour of my dad, Terry McGregor, I’m bringing together a team—Terry’s Warriors—to take part in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS.

We lost my dad to ALS in 2024, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to learn more about this disease, raise awareness, and share his story so others understand the impact ALS has on families like mine.

My dad was the kind of person you could always count on—hardworking, devoted to his family, and endlessly generous. He would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it, and that’s the spirit we’re carrying forward with this team.

Participating in this walk means so much to me and my family. It’s a way to honour who he was, to stand with others affected by ALS, and to contribute to the fight for better treatments and, one day, a cure.

If you’re able to support, whether by donating or joining us, it truly means the world. Together, as Terry’s Warriors, we’re turning love and loss into action—and keeping his legacy alive every step of the way.

This summer we will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS. That’s why we're joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope and a world free of ALS. Please consider supporting our team and donating towards this important cause.

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.

Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.

United, we are stronger together!
