Help our team create a world free of ALS

ALS is a devastating disease that slowly takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. It robs individuals of their independence while leaving their minds fully aware, forcing them to endure the cruel progression of losing control over their own bodies. There is still no cure, and families are left to watch helplessly as someone they love fades in front of them.

In June 2025, our family lost my brother after his battle with this horrible disease. He suffered in ways no one ever should. We didn’t just lose him—we lost the best brother, uncle, husband, nephew, son, father, and cousin anyone could ask for. He was full of life: an avid freestyle biker, a passionate snowboarder, a talented piano player, and a brilliant engineer. He lived boldly, loved deeply, and brought energy and joy to everyone around him.

We miss him more than words can ever express.

We are sharing his story because no other family should have to experience this kind of pain. Please help us fight ALS—through awareness, support, and research—so that one day, no one else has to endure what he went through.

This summer we will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS. That’s why we're joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope and a world free of ALS. Please consider supporting our team and donating towards this important cause.

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.

Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.

United, we are stronger together!
