In loving memory of our dad, Stan, who passed away in 2005 after facing ALS with remarkable courage and determination.

Dad was a teacher at heart. Even as ALS challenged him, he continued to teach, inspire, and give to others until the very end. His kindness and humanity were captured in a simple phrase he often shared: “Just be my friend.” Those words reflected the way he lived his life—with compassion, humility, and a deep appreciation for connection.

Dad also chose to participate in ALS research studies, hoping that what was learned from his journey might help others in the future. His willingness to contribute, even while battling this devastating disease, is part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Today, we walk in Dads memory—to honor his strength, celebrate his life, support families affected by ALS, and help advance the research that will one day lead to a cure.
