***As many of you know, our family has been deeply impacted by the horrible and disheartening disease of ALS. As we navigate this disease as a family, my prayer everyday is that a cure will be found soon. As a family, we know that life can throw some pretty hard curve balls, but this has been the hardest yet. The ALS Society of Newfoundland and Labrador have already helped tremendously, and as a family, we cannot thank them enough for the support they have shown. 

♥️Dad, I will run for you in June. You've been my lifelong hero, and you continue to show your strength and determination as you are faced with this giant. Your faith in God has been more and more evident everyday, as you're on this journey. We will go through this together, as a family. I love you dad♥️

This summer I will be participating in the Walk to End ALS. Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS. That’s why I’m joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope and a world free of ALS. • create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Newfoundland & Labrador - like home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.
• further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
