My mom, Cynthia Boland was diagnosed late in life with ALS after suffering numerous dibilitating falls and broken bones. The symptoms started many years before, but seemed to be consistent with other ailments associated with general aging. Within the span of 6 months my mother went from standing and walking on her own to in a wheelchair and transported from bed to chair via a sling mechanism.

Team Sunshine is in honor or her Nickname given by my dad...Sunshine. She was fiesty and firey at times, but warm and kind to everyone she loved. She will forever be our sunshine, our only sunshine. And she is missed dearly. 

Her dying wish was to ensure others on this earth were taken care of. So please help me pay forward the financial and emotional support the ALS society provided our family during such a sad and difficult time.
