A personal note from Vaughan 
Hi to all,

For the past 18 months, I have learned a great deal about ALS and Paul, Paula and April Mainprize, (neighbours and friends for 35 years) as they dealt with all the stages of Paul’s diagnosis with ALS.   

The Mainprizes continue to be an incredible inspiration and role model. With the invaluable resources as well as physical and mental support of the ALS society, the Mainprizes courageously managed their way thru this disease and managed to keep Paul where they all wanted him to be. – At Home!  Paul’s journey ended on Sunday April 21^st, 2024.

The ALS society is probably one of the finest examples of person-centred care for one of the most devastating diseases.  The ALS society provides this level of equipment, support and care, completely thru charitable/philanthropic support. It has been incredible to witness the care and empathy the ALS team provides and more important their appreciation for what these families go thru.

I am going to walk with April and several others on June 1^st, to raise money for April’s team, “For the Mainprize”. I realize you all get many requests. After seeing what the ALS society does and how efficiently, and effectively they support, I ask you to consider a donation thru the attached link so we can help other families and someday soon find a cure.
