This spring, I will be walking with Tony's Troopers and participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS on Sunday June 22,2025.  Now more than ever, the ALS community needs our support to provide hope and help to families affected by ALS. That’s why we're joining thousands of others, a part of a passionate and motivated community to “walk” in celebration of hope and a world free of ALS. In 2007, our family was directlly impacted by ALS when my husband Tony was diagnosed with this relentless and fatal disease.  Throughout the changes and challenges that came with this disease, Tony remained hopeful that a treatment and ultimately a cure, would one day be a reality.  He lived ever so courageously with ALS for 5 and 1/2 years before he passed in 2013.  It is hard to believe that it has been just over 12 years since that day in February 2013.  I have been walking in support of the ALS community since 2008 and now along with Tony's Troopers, I continue to walk in memory of Tony and in the hope for a future without ALS.  I am so thankful for your continued support over the years and hope that you might consider making a donation in memory of Tony-and help support this important cause.

Your support will help to:

• Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
• Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based support throughout Ontario – like home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.
