Help our team create a world free of ALS
I am asking for your support and donations for the London Walk for ALS in memory of my Dad "Don Dresser" who passed away from this devastating disease 24 years ago this November 12th. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and wish he was still here. My Dad was taken from us far too early ... We Miss You DAD! ! We walk every year to help raise funds for equipment for people suffering from this horrible disease as well as for Research to help find a cure. "Most people with ALS lose the use of their legs in the first two years of the disease. What would you do, while you still could?" Please help us make a difference!! The walk takes place in London Ontario on Saturday September 26,2015. Please sponser me and my family by donating to our team "Don's Dream Team" on the website https://alscanadawalktoendals.als.ca/ontario2025/don-s-dream-teamThank you in advance on behalf of my Dad and my family.
Your support will help to:
- Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
- Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario – this includes home visits and support groups – as well as necessary medical equipment like hospital beds, wheelchairs, stairlifts, and other items that increase safety in the home, at no cost to those who need them.
Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
United, we are stronger together!
