Charlotte’s Walk for Dad
Finding the Cure is saving Lives
Finding the Cure is saving Lives
This summer, I’m walking in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS in honour of my dad, Graham Herriman.
ALS is a brutal disease. Watching my father and taking care of him th last couple months before his death was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced, but it also showed me exactly who he was. Strong, stubborn, and still himself right to the end.
So now I’m walking for him, and for every family that has to face this.
We’re joining thousands of people pushing for something better: more research, more support, and hopefully one day, a cure for ALS.
If you’re able, please consider donating to our team. It helps fund critical research (there’s been more progress in the last 5 years than the last century, which is wild) and supports families in real, day-to-day ways that actually matter.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
Dad, this one’s for you.
Your support will help to:
Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum. Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes home visits and support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
United, we are stronger together!
