Help me create a world free of ALS
In August 2022, our family received the devastating news we had feared most—my dad (Robert Sargent) was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS, an aggressive form of ALS that affects speech, swallowing, and breathing. One of the hardest parts of this disease was hearing his voice fade. I would give anything to hear it again.
Despite the challenges, Dad fought with incredible strength and determination. We were grateful for the newly approved ALS medication that helped him and gave us more precious time together. His goal was to attend the ALS Walk in Kingston in June 2023, and together we formed Sarge’s Warriors to support him and raise awareness.
Dad achieved his goal and proudly participated in that walk. Sadly, not long afterward, this devastating disease took him from us.
In his memory, we have started an ALS Walk in Prescott to honor his legacy, raise awareness, and support others in our community who are living with this terrible disease.
Please consider making a donation to support ALS research and programs, and to help us honor the memory of my dad. Every contribution makes a difference.
