We are walking for ALS in honour of Dan — a devoted husband, loving grandfather, cherished brother, uncle, and friend.

If you know Dan, you know that he is the kind of person who makes every gathering better. Whether he’s sharing a joke, telling a story, or making everyone laugh when they need it most, his sense of humour has always been one of his greatest gifts. Even in the face of ALS, Dan continues to meet life’s challenges with courage, determination, and a smile.

Dan has always loved being outdoors. Whether it was spending time in nature, enjoying the fresh air, or simply appreciating the beauty around him, being outside has always brought him peace and happiness. That’s one of the reasons this walk feels so meaningful. As we come together and walk through nature, we’re celebrating something that Dan loves while supporting a cause that is deeply personal to our family.

Today, we walk to support Dan and the millions of families affected by ALS. We walk to raise awareness, fund research, and work toward a future where no family has to face this disease.

Most importantly, we walk to celebrate the incredible man who has touched so many lives. ALS may challenge his body, but it will never take away his humour, his spirit, or the love he has built around him.
