United for a Cure: Myron & Nicole

Welcome to my fundraising page!

This Saturday, I am participating in the Sudbury Walk to End ALS. I am walking as a proud member of Tracy McMillan's team, but my heart is dedicated to two incredible people in my life who are currently facing this disease: Myron McCubbin and Nicole Lessard.

While Myron an Nicole do not know each other, they are connected through their immense strength, their bravery, and my deep love for them both.

  • Myron is Tracy's husband an a long-time, cherished friend of mine. Watching him and his family navigate this diagnosis has shown me the true meaning of courage an reilience. He faces every day with incredible fortitude, and I am joining their them to surround Myron and Tracy with a powerful circle of community, love, and unwavering support.
  • Nicole is also a dear friend of mine who is fighting ALS. Nicole is a fellow nurse, we bonded early in our careers at Pioneer Manor and wonderfully reunited years later in psychiatry. Nicole is a fierce patient advocate who never hesitates to stand up for others, a deeply compassionate soul with a massive heart for animals, and a source of endless laughter who made our toughest shifts fly by with her wit an wild stories.

They both inspire me every day, and I want them to know they are absolutely not alone in this battle.

ALS is a devestating disease. By walking this Saturday at the Delki Dozzi Track, I am raising funds that directly support community services here in Ontario and vital research for a cure. Every dollar I raise on this page goes directly toward our team goal. Please consider making a donation today to support Two Friends, One Fight.

Thank you so mcuh for your generosity an support!

Crystal xo!

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.

Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.

United, we are stronger together!
