This June, I’m participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. For our family, it’s deeply personal.

My partner, Chris, was recently diagnosed with ALS. We’re taking it one day at a time, adjusting to a reality we never expected. As overwhelming as this diagnosis is, Chris has chosen to meet it the way he’s approached his entire career — through advocacy and action. He is already making an impact by serving on the ALS Canada Advocacy Committee and ensuring his voice is heard at every level of government. I’m incredibly proud of him for turning something so devastating into purpose.

We’ll be walking in two communities:

• Niagara Region – June 6
• Etobicoke/Mississauga – June 20
