In loving memory of Sterling McNabb
In 1999, we lost my Dad to ALS — a devastating disease that continues to affect families across Canada every year. Although more than 27 years have passed, Dad's memory continues to inspire us, and that’s why our team, Sterling’s Stars, is proudly walking again in the 2026 ALS Walk in London, Ontario.
We walk to honour Dad's life, to support families facing ALS today, and to help fund research, care, and hope for a future without this disease.
ALS takes away so much, but it cannot take away the love, strength, and memories shared by family and friends. Every donation — large or small — helps make a difference for those living with ALS and for the people who care for them.
Thank you for supporting Sterling’s Stars and helping us keep Dad's memory shining bright.
Your support will help to:
- Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
- Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.
Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
Together for Sterling. Together against ALS.
