This summer we will be participating in the ALS Canada Walk to End ALS. Last summer my Dad (Paul) was diagnosed with ALS Bulbar and it was devastating to our family. My Dad is married to my wonderful stepmom Helen and has 3 kids, Michael (16), Cruz (11), and I (21). We are all trying to work through this together and support my Dad as much as possible. However the causes for ALS are mostly unknown and there is no known cure. My Dad is such an incredible man and I hate to see him suffer through this horrible disease with very little solutions. Please donate to ALS research to help find the cure and heal people with ALS.

• Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
• Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.
