Help me support Team Big M and the ALS Canada Walk to end ALS

This June 6th 2026 I will be walking in support of ALS with team Big M's Mod Squad. The team is led by my friend Martha Wright a wonderful friend who I met as a client when I worked at the Animal Hospital.  Martha has had her challenges over the years from a cancer diagnosis and most recently an ALS diagnosis but she  doesn't let any of this stop her from her favourite thing in life, walking her dog(s) and spending time with friends. So if anyone can get me off the couch (lol) and walking it's Martha an inspiration to us all.

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.

Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
