PLEASE HELP BELLA AND I FIGHT THE BATTLE AGAINST ALS

On June 6th, Bella will be a proud canine member of Big M's Mod Squad in the walk to end ALS.  I'll dress as a human.  We are both in awe of the courage, grace and determination shown by our friend Martha (the Big M) while facing this monster of a disease.  With help from the ALS community programs, Martha has been able to stay in her home and been provided with the help and assistive devices required to do so.  Add a hefty dose of grit, and Martha fights ALS daily for the mobility to enjoy her simple pleasure of an outing with her dog, Karma.  Can you ride a scooter through a Conservation Area?  Martha can.  If you are willing or able to support our team it is appreciated.  (Martha could be also described as competitive, she'll want to win a fundraiser as well)

Your support will help to:

  • Further scientific progress by investing in the ALS Canada Research Program, which funds promising ALS research. The ALS Canada Research Program is the only national dedicated source of funding for ALS research across Canada. This program provides peer-reviewed grants to researchers whose work has the greatest potential to advance the field of ALS. There’s been more progress made in ALS research in the last five years than over the last century – we need to keep building on this momentum.
  • Create a better day-to-day reality for people and families living with ALS by providing community-based services throughout Ontario. This includes support groups, virtual programming, and information resources, which are all critical in improving the quality of life for people living with and affected by ALS.

Join our team in making a difference. Please consider donating to our team fundraising page as we work toward a world free of ALS.
